Basic Fire Fighting Training

Introduction

The role of Fire fighter within the company is very critical in case of fires. We always try to prevent fires but sometimes things go worst, and we have fires at workplaces. Fire fighter is someone with assigned responsibilities to act efficiently in case of fires. This course will help individuals understand basic requirements for firefighting.

 

Course Objectives

To enable the participants with the responsibilities of Fire Fighters within the company. How to Perform in normal and emergency situations.

 

Who Should Attend

This training is designed for Fire fighters, Fire Wardens, HSE Officers, Advisors, Inspectors and anyone having responsibilities in fire-fighting, evacuations and maintaining means of egress at workplace.

 

Course Contents

  • General Introduction & Terminologies (15 Minutes)
  • Fire Classification & Extinguisher types (45 Minutes)
  • Fire Hydrants Classifications and their Principals (45 Minutes)
  • Fire hazard identification (45 Minutes)
  • Fire Fighters roles and Responsibilities (60 Minutes)
  • Fire Safety System and Fire Fighting Equipment (30 Minutes)
  • Fire Prevention (30 minutes)
  • Head-count and Assembly area requirements in case of fires (30 Minutes)
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly and 6-monthly inspection checklist Fire Extinguisher & Hydrants (40 Minutes)
  • Practical Demonstration on Portable Fire Extinguishers (45 minutes)
  • Practical Demonstration on Fire Hydrants (45 Minutes)

 

Course Duration & Exam

The course is designed for 7-hours. An assessment based on 20 MCQs / True-False will be conducted at the end of training with 30 minutes time with minimum 70% passing marks.
