Fire Fighting / Fire Warden

Introduction

The role of Fire Warden is very critical in maintaining evacuation routes and in case of fires, evacuation of all those present in the building or facility. We always try to prevent fires but sometimes things go worst and we have fires at workplaces. Fire Warden is someone with assigned responsibilities to act efficiently in case of fires. This course will help individuals understand all major requirements for fire evacuations, design and maintenance of evacuation routes and other important skills.

Course Objectives

To enable the participants with the responsibilities of Fire Warden. How to Perform in normal and emergency situations.

This training is designed for Fire Wardens, HSE Officers, Advisors, Inspectors and anyone having responsibilities in fire evacuations and maintaining means of egress at workplace.

  • Fire Classification & Extinguisher types (45 Minutes)
  • Fire hazard identification (45 Minutes)
  • Fire Risk Assessment (45 Minutes)
  • Fire Wardens and their Responsibilities (60 Minutes)
  • Means of Egress & 3 Components of Egress (30 Minutes)
  • Fire Safety System and Fire Fighting Equipment (30 Minutes)
  • Fire Prevention (30 minutes)
  • Head-count in case of fires (20 Minutes)
  • Assembly area requirements (20 Minutes)
  • Daily inspection checklist Fire Extinguisher & Hydrants (40 Minutes)
  • Practical Demonstration on Portable Fire Extinguishers (40 minutes)
  • Practical Demonstration and Exercises on Rescue Technique (40 Minutes)

 

Course Duration & Exam

The course is designed for 7-hours. An assessment based on 30 MCQs / True-False will be conducted at the end of training with 30 minutes time with minimum 70% passing marks.
